Louise Smith Jacobs of Laurinburg passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the age of 79.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Woody Byrd and Rev. Dunlap. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Elem Baptist Church Cemetery in Clio, SC.

Mrs. Jacobs was born April 15, 1931 in Marlboro County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Dan and Thelma Brigman Smith and the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Lindbergh Jacobs. She and her late husband were the owner and operators of “Lou’s Grill” formerly of Laurinburg. She served the Lord and was a member of Hillside Freewill Baptist Church. Louise will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jacobs was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Smith, sisters, Beatrice Smith and Jeanette Smith.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her five daughters, Mary Ann Cooper and husband Johnny of Laurel Hill, Shirley Chavis and friend Jerry Bryant of Dublin, Lillie Adams and husband Kenny of Laurinburg, Vickie Byrd and husband Frank of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara Hair and husband Jim of Charlotte; brothers, Dan Smith, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC and Edgar Smith of Sturgis, MI; eleven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7th at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
