Peggy Lowery Hunt June 06, 2009
Peggy Lowery Hunt of McColl, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the age of 60 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Brian Oxendine. Burial will follow the service at Rogers Cemetery in McColl.
Peggy was born November 6, 1948 in Marlboro County, daughter of the late Clifton and Bulah Strickland Lowery. She was a devoted homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She retired from Abbott Laboratories after many years of dedicated service. Peggy was a member of the Oak Hill Church of God. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was also preceded in death by brothers, Melvin Williams, R.C. Williams, Campbell Lowery, James Lowery, Doomer Lowery, Nelson Lowery; sisters, Margaret Rodgers, Elease Mill, Marguerite Jernigan and Nolie Locklear.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Hughie Hunt of their home; son, Clifton Andrew “Andy” Hunt and wife Wendy of McColl; daughter, Danielle Hunt Turner of McColl; brothers, Alford Lowery of San Diego, CA, Derry Lowery and wife Becky of Laurinburg, NC; sisters, Rosa Mae Webster and husband Alton Webster of McColl, SC, Vonni Mae Mauldin and husband Ed Mauldin of Darlington, SC and Harriett Hammel and husband John Hammell of Hickory, NC; her grandchildren, Reva D. Nolan, Franklin Dewayne “Little Wayne” Turner, Jr., Kenneth “Kenny” F. Turner and Daniel F. Turner, many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8th at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
